I with you. I was told the same thing when I installed Several Months ago. That a Single DVR was coming that would allow for up to 6 shows on one box. Right now I have 3 DVR's with Whole Home to be able to have that capability. I came over from U-Verse.. But im seriously considering going back. COX's DVR system is horrible. Unfriendly.. and Remote Management is basically non-existent. What I mean by Basically is, that you can set something to do a one time record.. but you have no clue what you have set to record, nor can you delete or modify your existing schedule.
This type of Technology has been around for several years. What is the hold up. Im Paying the same 250 bucks with cox that I was paying for U-Verse.. But other than Internet speed I really feel that Im paying 250 for less features.
Remote DVR Management, and Having a Single DVR for 6 recordings would be sweet.
But do you know what would make me happy. The Whole Home DVR System to be Intelligent. So if I have 2 shows recording on DVR 1, And I try to change channels and it wont let me because 2 shows are recording.. It should be intelligent enough to ask me.. Hey do you want to record xyz show onto another DVR. Or Even be good enough to allow you to watch whatever you wanted no matter what just because you got 3 DVR's in the house. (Yes I know there is a work around to this by setting something that I wanna watch now to record via another DVR and then watching the recording live from DVR 1) But should I really have to do that?
