I think I'd be just as frustrated with Contour if what you described was going on at my house! While there have been some issues with the live TV pause function, the exact combination/order of events you've described is something we've not encountered before.
I know you've replaced the host receiver already, so I'd like to take a different approach to troubleshooting this. I don't believe it is a hardware error, but more a signal attenuation error. Can I email you at the address you used on your Forums registration?
