Well, if there is a choice, I'd switch to anything but Passport in a heartbeat. It is by far the most unreliable, buggy, unusable (full of countless UI race conditions and other ridiculous issues), poorly developed and tested (if tested at all, which I question considering the issues I and my family have to put up with on a daily basis for the last few years, with new issues appearing with each upgrade, without even trying to find bugs) of any electronic product I've seen so far in my life. Sure, I could write and send Cox a full book detailing them all, but Passport seems to be in such a pathetic state that I don't see how it can really be effectively fixed—just completely scrapped and rewritten from scratch by competent software developers. After what I've experienced, I imagine it must be virtually impossible for an IPG written by any other company to be anything but a vast improvement.
